One of the most important concerts in History had less than 50 people at it.
June,4,1976 at Manchesters Lesser Free Trade Hall.
The Sex Pistols didn't have a label, or any recorded songs. But they still caused a wave with that concert, even though hardly anyone was there. But a lot of those people went on to make bands of their own. Bernard Sumner, Peter Hook, Mick Hucknall, Morrisey, Pete Shelley, Tony Wilson, and More. All went on to make a huge dent in music. The sex pistols still played their hearts out, maybe not even caring how many people were there, they played, made sure everyone had a good time, and kept at it.
It's something I think about that keeps me going on doing my podcast. Yeah, I'm not The Sex Pistols, yeah I might not inspire many people, but it's more about the principle of giving it your all anyway. Doing something for the sake of just doing it.
So if you ever have self doubt, just keep doing what you're doing. Do it for yourself, and don't focus too much on how many people are listening...because you never know who might be listening.
It's been a much better week this week as you can see. But most of the stress that I get comes in waves depending on what week it is...so lets see what happens.
What I'm listening to:
The 1975 - Notes On A Conditional Form
The Police - Synchronicity
Talk Talk - The Colour of Spring
Electronic - Electronic
Have a good day, and remember; all music is real music.
