The Job Hunt (and other Hot Takes)

I'm an emotional rollercoaster going through this month. Back and forth between excitement of a potentially good future when things settle down a bit more, and despair at the current state of the world at large, and my own personal situations. Instead of tweeting these, I wanted to get a little more personal, share a bunch of more thought out Hot Takes at once instead of whenever they cross my mind.

On LinkedIn...

-Nobody should enjoy being on LinkedIn. The only reason I'm on there is out of an obligation because somehow it became the default place to network, but personally I do not want to be there more than I absolutely have to, and when I get my radio career back on track I will avoid the site until I need to be back on there again.

-Don't post Memes on LinkedIn. I like to shitpost with the best of them, but that's what Twitter, Reddit, and Facebook Mom groups are for. I don't see it often, but I'm starting to see it, and it's...weird.

On COVID-19 Conspiracy Theories:

-YOU ARE NOT WORTH MICROCHIPPING!!!!! Seriously, if you're so worried about *INSERT MADE UP THING YOU'RE AFRAID OF* tracking you, get off the internet altogether. That's the easier way to get dirt on you because you're willingly giving the info. Not everyone is out to get you, you aren't that special. I'm even seeing family members buy into this nonsense and I hate it.

-It is seriously concerning to me how many people are keeping this pandemic going with Ignorance. Whether it be refusing to wear a mask, or not even putting in the effort to wear it properly (It's not that hard, the only way you can mess it up is by not trying). Also the whole notion of "I'm going to keep living my life and doing things how I always did, pandemic be damned" is selfish. The longer people keep doing that, the longer we're stuck dealing with this Pandemic. Think of the bigger picture for once in your life. Only thinking in the short term is how we got in this mess in the first place.

-I will never come close to taking a doomsday prepper seriously, I didn't before, but I especially don't now. This was the year they were waiting for, and none of them could handle it. I don't think this is an "end of the world" situation, but a time that shows that we're truly not ready for when it actually happens.

One more thing:

- Stop lumping "The Mainstream Media" all into one ball. All it does is show how lazy and incapable you are of comprehending the news you read. Not all news organizations are on the same page, nobody is out to get you, and most of us are people trying to live our lives. Just because you disagree with what you read doesn't make everything else wrong.

Okay, rant over. I feel a little better typing this all out.

What I'm Listening To:

-iamthemorning: The Bell

-Muzz: The Promised Land

-Elton John: Blue Moves
